Nasdaq-100 stocks in Stage 2

The Nasdaq-100 holds the largest non-financial companies listed on Nasdaq, and a few of them can move the whole index. This list shows which members are in Stage 2, the advancing phase of Stan Weinstein's cycle, after every close. When the index rises while fewer of its stocks are in Stage 2, the advance is narrowing.

35 of 101 Nasdaq-100 stocks pass · prices as of Oct 30, 2026 close · index members as of Oct 30, 2026

The exact criteria

Stage Analysis is Stan Weinstein's, published in Secrets for Profiting in Bull and Bear Markets (1988). We apply his framework with our own stage engine after every close; the two checks below are what this screen filters on. It runs on US stocks priced at $5 or more and trading at least $1 million a day on average. The four stages explained →

Index membership is our own record, checked against public sources after each close. The date at the top is the last day that check passed.

  1. 1.A member of the Nasdaq-100101 pass
  2. 2.Classified Stage 2: a confirmed uptrend928 pass

Each count is that rule applied on its own to the same set of stocks, so you can see which one is doing the work. The list below is the names that pass all of them.

Where our read differs

Of the 35 names above, 6 are flagged Early entry by our own model: still early enough in their move that the trade has room, rather than names that have already run. A screen tells you a stock qualifies; it does not tell you whether you are late. That second question is the one we built the engine to answer.

Questions

Why does the Nasdaq-100 have more than 100 stocks?

The index is made of 100 companies. A company with two share classes in it, such as Alphabet's GOOGL and GOOG, is counted once per class, and each class is listed here on its own.

How current is the Nasdaq-100 membership on this page?

We check the index's members after every close against public sources, and the date beside the count is the last day that check passed. Nasdaq reconstitutes the index each December and replaces members during the year. A change shows here once it has taken effect and our next check confirms it.

Why is a member missing from the list?

A member appears only if it passes every rule above on the latest close. A company that listed recently may not have enough price history for a stage read yet, so it is counted as a member but cannot pass.

Is this an official Nasdaq-100 list?

No. Stage2Stocks is not affiliated with Nasdaq, Inc. The page shows which companies are in the index, as of the date shown, for use with our stage analysis. It does not show index weights.
