Nasdaq-100 stocks near their 52-week high

A stock within a few percent of its 52-week high has little overhead supply, which is why leaders tend to trade near their highs. This list takes the Nasdaq-100 members within 5% of their high that are also above the 50-day average, so a stock fading from its peak drops off.

18 of 101 Nasdaq-100 stocks pass · prices as of Oct 30, 2026 close · index members as of Oct 30, 2026

Where our read differs

Of the 18 names above, 1 are flagged Early entry by our own model: still early enough in their move that the trade has room, rather than names that have already run. A screen tells you a stock qualifies; it does not tell you whether you are late. That second question is the one we built the engine to answer.

Questions

Why look at stocks near their 52-week high?

A stock near its high has little overhead supply, since few holders are waiting to sell at break-even. Leaders tend to spend much of an advance close to their highs, so this list is a short way to see which Nasdaq-100 names are leading now.

Why also require the 50-day moving average?

A stock can sit within 5% of its high while it rolls over. Asking for price above the 50-day average drops names that are fading from a recent peak.

How current is the Nasdaq-100 membership on this page?

We check the index's members after every close against public sources, and the date beside the count is the last day that check passed. Nasdaq reconstitutes the index each December and replaces members during the year. A change shows here once it has taken effect and our next check confirms it.
